Subject: FW: Legend of the Babysitter

It was a warm summer night. Amanda was babysitting out in the country. The Mueller’s had decided to go on an overnight trip in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Mueller only had one child, a four year old daughter named Mia. After Amanda tucked Mia into her bed, she decided to go downstairs to where the guest bedroom was. She turned on the TV and noticed a clown statue that was standing in the corner. The statue was about four feet tall, had multicolor curly hair, crusted face paint, and a stained polka dot shirt. The clown had straight thin pink lips and a flare in his eyes. Amanda was becoming frightened by the clown statue. She decided to call Mr. and Mrs. Mueller. When she called they told her to get Mia and run quickly down the road to the neighbor’s house and call them from there. Amanda frantically ran upstairs and woke Mia up. They sprinted to the closest house that was a mile down the road. Amanda called the parents back and they informed her that they had called the police. They explained how they did not own a clown statue. However, Mia had told her parents that she saw a clown in the living room late one night. The Mueller’s thought that she was just making up stories. The police arrived at the house and captured the clown. The clown turned out to be a sixty year old man who had escaped from prison a week ago.

Forward this to ten people in the next thirteen minutes or else the clown will appear in your bedroom at 3:13 a.m. with a knife in his hand!!!

Nice touch with the email forward, Holly! Very creative - a modern day method of spreading the mythological word!
